BACKGROUND
Initiated from Islamic learning activities in regular basis every Sunday afternoon or “dakwah” from house to house since 2004, and finally has a permanent lease in 2009 until now.
As a side note, separate routine recitations for the women are also often carried from house to house. Without exception, recitation for children and adolescents are also held every week.
In addition to its missions to build generations of Indonesian Islamic family and moslem society who are residing in New Zealand to understand and practice Islamic teachings based on the Al-Quran and the authentic Hadits (As-Sunnah) as understood and practised by companions of Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam, the Indonesia Islamic Centre (IIC) Incorporated is also aiming at building a permanent place of worship or Masjid in Auckland, New Zealand.
Vision
To build generations of Indonesian Islamic families and moslem societies who are residing in New Zealand to understand and practice Islamic teachings and values based on the Al-Quran and the authentic Hadits
(As-Sunnah) as understood and practised by companions of Muhammad Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wasallam.
Mission
To develop the understanding and the knowledge of Islamic teachings and values based on Al-Quran and
As-Sunnah.
To strengthen Ukhuwah Islamiyah (relationship/comradeship in Islam) with broader of Islamic communities.
To build a permanent place of worship/Islamic Centre/Masjid that will be functioned as a community house for Muslim Community in Auckland, New Zealand)
